How We Manufacture Shaped Frames
Every shaped frame begins with an accurate site survey or template of the opening, capturing the exact curve, angle or point required. For uPVC, standard profile sections are heated and formed around a jig to the required radius or angle before being welded into a complete, weathertight frame. For aluminium, sections are precision-cut and mitred or formed to shape, then assembled using the same structural and thermal-break techniques used across our wider aluminium window and curtain walling systems. For steel, sections are cut, formed and welded to the template by hand, giving the fine, traditional sightlines associated with heritage and period ironwork.
Because the shaping process happens in-house rather than through a third-party supplier, we can hold tighter tolerances, respond faster to design queries, and match colour, hardware and glazing specifications across an entire project – including any standard rectangular windows and doors installed alongside the shaped units.
